Colombia

Field recordings from Bogotá, Cartagena, Cocora Valley and Honda.

The recordings were taken between 10th May – 3rd April 2018 and include the sounds of birdsong, taxi journeys in the city, busy plazas, mountain descents through the clouds, street musicians, dogs barking in nearby streets and more.

During my trip I began work on a piece of music titled Honda / Cartagena. This track uses synths, samples, drums, guitars, and field recordings of Honda and Cartagena. The song is broken into two parts: afternoon and evening. The song is included in the collection directly below.
