Delta Drift is a space for curated sonic content, including writing, music and field recordings from around the world.
All material is created by Jase Warner, who outside of his work as a freelance web developer (and sometimes designer) takes field recordings of his surroundings and writes music, often incorporating the latter into the former. Since graduating in Fine Art in 2009, where he specialised in sound art, Jase has continued to work with the sonic medium as a musician, documentarian and archivist.
In writing, Delta Drift’s aim is to consider sound from all aspects of life. From the absurd to the more (dare we say it) spiritual, sound is a defining presence for 95% of the world’s population who are not hearing impaired.
Among the field recordings featured in Delta Drift are sounds from Colombia, Australia, Mexico, France, the United Kingdom, South Africa and more. All recordings, along with music, can be heard in the Archive.
