Field Recording Collection

South Africa

These field recordings were taken from Karongwe Reserve, Johannesburg and Cape Town in March 2019.

The recordings were taken between 23 March and 6 April 2019 and include the sounds of baboons, birdsong, elephants, buffalo, the bush as well as birds in the Johannesburg and Cape Town’s Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.

Baboons
A troop of baboons can be heard far off as night falls.
Tree canopy walk
